DIANA BOYD @seeyasista

Art has been a constant for as long as I can remember. I see the world through artist eyes. Over the past 10 years I have been exploring the options of assembled work on paper and timber; it has allowed me to express myself through mixed media. Fragments of the environment are created by deconstructing, manipulating and reinventing with found objects.

After studying Fine Art at the Hunter Institute NSW and the Pilbara Institute WA it gave me the confidence to showcase my work through solo and group exhibitions.

At home in Lake Macquarie I draw inspiration from the ocean and lake. Boundless amounts of driftwood, marine debris, plastic and fishing line are daily finds for my pallet. The combination of these materials with design elements such as line, texture, repetition and colour allow me to produce intimate works that invite you to take a look into the world that inspires me. Each piece is unique and united by a common thread; my love of art and the environment in which I live.
