DOROTHEE HEIBEL

Dorothée Heibel was born into an artistic family in Solothurn ‒ Switzerland. Since 1996, Dorothée calls the Hunter Valley her home and she is an award winning artist.

Her distinguished painting style, the unique black linework which is achieved using a cotton tip rather than a paintbrush, has become her trademark. She also enjoys creating artworks from discarded textiles or finds from her walks.

For the last 7 years, Dorothée has been immersing herself in the art of Ceramics, here in Wollombi, where she continues creating her unique and often rather quirky pieces of art. 

Dorothée sees her works as a way of celebrating life and capturing moments of absolute joy and contentment.
